I took a trip on the interstate over the weekend.
I have a pet peeve.
I hate the drivers who pull up to my back bumper and flash their lights at me when I am in the passing lane going the speed limit of 70 mph. That is just rude and obnoxious.
It's the equivalent of somebody standing behind another person in line at a fast restaurant and tapping them on the shoulder to tell them to get out of the way. Like their time is more important than my time.
An amusing incident related to this pet peeve occurred on this trip.
A young African-American gentleman pulled up to my back bumper and flashed his lights at me. I don't know how long he was there. I ignored him, as I was going the speed limit.
Well, he must have gotten really pissed because he drove around me and pulled in front of my car, barely missing my front end. He drove around me so fast, he lost control of his vehicle and nearly flipped his car over.
Then, he rolled his window down and flipped me the bird, and after he did this, he lost control again and swerved onto the shoulder for about 40 seconds.
He needed a chill pill for sure. It reminded me of all the incidences reported in the news of young black men who use their car as a weapon in confrontations with policemen. And then everybody wonders why they got shot.
What an aggressive jerk.
If you are a tail gate driving, lights flasher, you and I have a problem. You are not more important than anybody else.

In GA you'll get a ticket for not moving over even if they're speeding, for Empeeding the flow of traffic.

I'm going to assume this isn't a troll
The fact that you know it's called the "passing lane" and you still want to sit in that lane and go 70 is moronic. Your speed is irrelevant in the passing lane. If you're passing somebody then you can be in that lane if you're not then you should be in the right lane.
No it's like going to the grocery store and getting in the 10 items or less lane with a cart full of stuff and a book of coupons while you're trying to write a check to pay for it.
You can sit in the right lane and go whatever speed you want. There's no reason for you to actively seek to slow other people down.

Regardless of speed, the passing lane is a lane for passing, not driving at the speed limit.
