Probably, sooner. We're starting to truly become an advanced civilization. The things we're starting to learn, in our short existence, are just now starting (in the last 400 years) to prove wrong the existence of a deity. What we'll know about our earth and universe 500 years from now I think will have long since eradicated any deity system lingering from a time when humans were restricted to earth and searching for answers.

It depends in what way you qualify a religion, because sometimes I hear people call themselves Christians and they're no where near the original doctrine or simply omit so much of the metaphysical that it's essentially a philosophy rather than a religion.

It'll be interesting to see how technology affects people's beliefs. Atheism is becoming more prevalent.

That's the process. We're right in the middle of that point where stuff is starting to be proven wrong and people are adjusting to it over a hundred years here and there. In 500 years I think it will have been abandoned entirely because of all we'll have come to learn.

So something that has been around since the start of mankind is going to disappear? That's rich

Yes. We're pretty fricking young. It's no surprise to me that one of the first things we established was a deity. Then re-did it about a million more times. Now, we're getting to the point where we're advancing out of it.

The current religious sects will be in the toughest spots yet in they're respective religions, as more and more things every day, in the next hundred years, two hundred years, will cause them to say "okay, enough's enough. I admit this religion can't be as genuine as I once was taught, as my parents believed, and their parents believed."

Religion, like most beliefs, adjust when new information is taken into consideration. We're at a unique time in our own country regarding religion. Science is beginning to broaden our understanding so we're having to depend more and more on emotions to fuel our religions. Eventually emotions will give way to undeniable facts. 500 years, this will probably have happened.

And pretty sure everything on your list is able to die.

Unless scientifically we can prove there is no god or mystical being of that sort then there will always be people who have some sort of religions (even if we do prove there is no god there will still always be doubters). In 5000 years though I have a feeling that current religions will have either evolved to be much different that they are now or faded away completely (such as like the greek gods which very few people worship nowadays).

As long as there are tests, there will be prayer in schools.

OP should define religion. I agree it will be non-existent, but only because Jesus will rule the planet from Jerusalem and will put a stop to all the other nonsense.

Stacked, have you ever watched "Idiocracy"? That is our future. Our species will continue it's irreversible slide of stupidity, to the point of extinction.
