The Wire is the shiite.
Recently got HBO Go. Am - right now - watching the last episode of season 1 of The Wire.
Holy fricknuts but this is good stuff.

It's phenomenal. Some didn't enjoy season 2 as much but I loved it. All agree 5 isn't as amazing but still shows important aspect of newspapers. Really brings all aspects together to tell a full story through a realistic back drop.

Im rewatching the series for the 3rd time. On season 2 now and I like season 2 better each time. It was just so different than season 1 that you dont appreciate it upon first viewing

I think the issue with season 2 was that the viewer is expecting a continued story arc from season one, and the arc shifts big time.
I remember being bummed about that specifically, but it was still a good season.
Great series, some of the best drama ever created IMO.

This is probably the 5th thread like this I've seen since joining and finally decided to give it a watch. I'm only a couple episodes in, so I'm not obsessed yet, but its been really good so far.

i enjoyed the robot show on HBO, WestWorld. i don't think season 2 starts until 2018 sometime.

The robot show was awesome.
And I've just started season 2 of The Wire. I was told it would take a little getting used to, because it's a bit different than the first season and takes a while to get some traction.
But I'm loving it immediately. Good stuff.
