How was your undergrad experience, in and out of the classroom?

State your majors as well.

Mine: Business Admin. Had fun outside the classroom. Graduated with honors. Favorite subject was probably Stats.

What say you?

Political science with a minor in history. I almost did a double major but ran out of money. I loved the classes I took (especially all of the American history and civil war classes) and was going to law school but got talked out of it the summer before my senior year. So, I had to figure out some thing else.

Now I am in sales for a manufacturer of electrical power distribution components and assemblies (switchgear, panelboards, transformers, etc)

I spent my college years getting high and partying in Isla Vista and on the beaches of Santa Barbara. I graduated a year late with a 2.2 GPA. I look back on those years, and my achievements, with great satisfaction.

Marketing major (Mays Business School), Texas A&M University. Fall 2006 - Fall 2010.

Absolutely loved attending TAMU. My dad us from Bryan/College Station and I have a lot of family there. I met and proposed to my wife there. Got to see my little brother walk onto the football team there his freshman year. Was in the Corps of Cadets and it was an overwhelmingly positive experience.

Classroom was tough, but I enjoyed the classes, if that makes any sense Wouldn't repeat the classroom experience, but also wouldn't trade it for the world.

Aggie Network landed me my current job as a project manager/inside salesman for a waterworks company. Best job I've ever had. Very blessed and extremely thankful for my time at A&M.

I'm the opposite. History major and political science minor. Just shy of a double major. I loved the military history classes and I really liked the international slant on the poli sci classes I took.

I too was talked out of law,and I'm , quite glad for that now.

I'm in sales for medical devices and love it.

I deeply miss the Bonfire cuts, but they are way different than when I was there.

I did have a prof leave the class one year because of desert storm. He got recalled. . That was unique.

Civil Engineering. Calculus 2 and a couple of Mechanical Engineering classes learned me pretty quick that being a smarty pants in HS didn't mean a whole lot.

Outside the classroom, I think MacArthur had it right: "I want you to know that when I cross the river my last conscious thoughts will be of The Corps, and The Corps, and The Corps."

I could write a book on it, but probably not a MacArthur-approved book.

I don't regret my decision at all. I never knew sales would be the right thing for me but the kind of sales I do isn't what most people think it is. One of my fraternity brothers went the same route as me (poli sic major, history minor, intended law school but got talked out, and is in the same industry as me)

Communications LA.

Hated every second of it. I was working 40+ hours a week to not go into debt. I didn't eat out much. Somehow got married my sophomore year. After that it was a little better but not awesome.

I did the bare minimum I could to graduate. Didn't buy books, no sports pass, didn't buy parking pass, graduated with exactly 130 credit hours,

Sometimes I think about getting my masters. But then I think about and say eff that noise.

Most difficult but fun years of my life.

Major in Chemistry. Worked 40+ hrs a week to pay for the part of school that was not covered by scholorship.

Busted my butt until I was accepted into medical school. My last year was the best. School was easy, work was light, and I lived in my fraternity house.

In Classroom, it was a necessary evil as I picked a simple Major (Industrial Psychology)

Outside the classroom, would not change it as it allowed me to work in athletics, met people and made connections. I travelled with Football and baseball regularly. Basketball they would take us to St Louis for the MVC tourney. The school also paid for our AEMA dues and would let us go to the conventions splitting costs on hotel rooms for us.

Majored in Risk Management and Finance, after switching from Accounting and Management Information Systems

I agree with Stats, I did actually enjoy that class a lot, partly because our instructor was freakin nuts.

Loved every bit of it, wish I could go back everyday

Economics and German for me. After I graduated from state, I went and took a lot of math courses because I thought I might get a PhD in Econ. I'm headed to law school instead though. I loved MSU and wish I could go back every day. I graduated summa just a year ago.

kind of crazy, but this is the same for me almost word for word, with one exception, as I am in sales for a distributor of electrical power distribution components instead of the manufacturer
