How fast do you drive?

I'm talking interstate here. I was driving to Birmingham from Atlanta and people were flying past me on I-20 and I had the cruise set on 76 or 77 (70 is the posted limit). I figure 76 or 77 is probably not going to get me a ticket, but going 85-90 like some of the folks passing me seems like a certain ticket. How fast do you go, and how sure are you that you won't get a ticket at that speed?

I am in your range when on the interstate.

I drive the speed limit. Typically when a cop pulls me over though i'm not worried about the speeding ticket.

Most of the time around 85. Very rarely go faster than that.
I use the waze app and that's saved me more than a few times. Still don't fully trust it. Most of the time I find a "bait" car as I call it.
I've never gotten a ticket on the interstate so it seems to be working out. Now that I've said it I'm sure I'll get one next time though

I average about 20mph on the interstate here. That is about as good as it gets with the traffic.

Depends on the interstate, I-55 straight up Mississippi literally never has any cops on it. I've maxed out my car on that road multiple times and if I did get pulled over while maxing out my car's speed I'd probably get my license suspended

76-78 in a 70 on the interstate.

Speed limit +/- 2 or 3 mph.
Eta: I'm in a company truck monitored by gps 98% of the time.

8-10 MPH over the speed limit.

There's not enough State Troopers on AL highways.

There's plenty.
All you need is enough to where people fear getting pulled over which most people do.

Can you understand what a limit means? It's not a suggestion. 70 is certainly fast enough, cowboy.

It must be a suggestion though or the Troopers would pull people over for going 75, which they don't.

5 to 8 over is usually safe. I got a 98 in a 70 last time in Bama.

Y'all are some slow drivers. On the interstate if you aren't doing at least 10 over you should just stop driving.

79 in a 70 zone with a very good radar detector. When the detector chirps, hit the brake to release the cruise control. You'll be around 76 and the cop will just past on you.
Got a ticket in July going to church on a Sunday morning at 7:40am. 99 in a 60 zone in my Vette. First question the judges asked was "how old are you?" (60 y/o). HA!

speed limit or below. Not in a hurry to get anywhere, and there's nowhere in town I can't drive to within 25 minutes.

Let me put it this way: I haven't received a moving violation since 1980.

I'm pretty paranoid, so usually 74 or 75 on the 70 mph freeway.
Don't worry, I move over to the right lane as soon as I see a car approaching me. I'm not that a-hole. Although I'm usually one of the faster cars on the road, for the most part.

I'm more likely to be 10 under. Can't stand to abuse fuel economy for the sake of a few minutes.
