I've seen so many fatalities on that stretch of road. It's almost worth taking an alternate route around it. So many 18 wheelers on those turns/hills.

Does that stretch still have the massive sand piles for runaway trucks coming down the mountain?

I think you are meaning about further west, at Monteagle, this was right outside of Chattanooga.
