I don't talk unless specifically asked about hobbies.
I'm with a relative who just goes on and on and on about his hobbies. I just listen, but I have zero interest in the hobbies discussed.
It's boring, but tolerable.
Do people talk about hobbies all the time? I read some and play pickleball and basketball, but I don't feel the need to drone on and on about it for hours on end.

How can this be the wrong board for anything? Isn't the O-T Board part of the SEC Rant and aren't they separate from Tigerdrops and its associated boards?
I never go to any of those boards because of the number of wackos. No one has discussions there. It's just quips and insults. The number of posters here are fewer and more mature, and intelligent.

I find it highly amusing that you said the posters here are more mature and intelligent and there is a thread saying "I'm in KC and want to fight Killz" on the first page...

Killz is one of the superheroes of tRant. At least when he isn't banned. Funny, entertaining and extremely gregarious, even on an anonymous internet board he's the proverbial "life of the party."
He has no equivalent on Tigerdropsy because those boards are flooded with one-lining quipsters who try to one-up each other with unquoted quotes from Reddit. Killz and many other tRanters and OTBers make these two boards' threads fun and interesting, even educational.
That's why I think the OTB, especially, should maintain a healthy distance from the Tigerdoodoo boards. We discuss anything and everything here, frequently to depths that would bore TD posters to death. Their short attention spans simply can't handle detail.
