Started the day with a breakfast of eggs, grits, and watermelon

*America declared independence on July 4th, 1776. As to history…

April 16th, 1782 : the Dutch formally recognized the US as a independent nation

November 30th, 1782 : the preliminary peace treaty is signed in Paris

November 25th, 1783 : British troops depart NYC removing all troops from US

January 12th, 1784 : US ratifies the Treaty of Paris

For the sake of the argument, the Paris treaty contains Article I, which basically acknowledges the existence of the US as a free sovereign and independent state. Perception is reality as if no other countries recognized this then the US was just a collective with no real standing at the global level.

Have a safe and happy 4th!

Grits, eggs, and bacon.

Then I'll walk down to the beach and drink some silver bullets and watch the F-16's fly the length of the SC coast today at 1pm.
