I wanted to make a thread for general cigar discussion. I'm sure many on here smoke cigars, some probably more often than others.

What is your go to smoke (everyday stick)?

San Lotano oval

Special occasion or victory stick?

Zino Platinum double grande

New sticks you have tried and are really enjoying?

Oliva Serie V Melanio

I looked for a cigar thread, but didn't see one. Look forward to the discussion!

DMB I have a buddy that is a big cigar dude so I just smoke them when I hang out with him. I like madani does though. He has some custom rolled ones from coasta rica right now that are killer.

Look into Cuban cigars. While not strictly legal, for now, they are relatively inexpensive, for now...

I've had a Cuban, and while nice, it wasn't incredible or anything.

Go to:

Padilla Reserva Toro or San Cristobal Revelation Legend

Special occasion:

Padrón Family Reserve 50 Years Maduro

Which reminds me I need to order my victory sticks for this year, and an upcoming bachelor party.

The most recent one I have found that I like:

Monte Cristo Espada

I believe that's the name. I look for smooth. I don't like blondes at all.

I am definitely not a cigar aficionado, but isn't this statement like telling somebody to look into American whiskey? There are some great American whiskeys and there are some that aren't worth the time it would take to pour them out.

It's the Cuban tobacco, grown in Cuban soil, that makes them different; most cigar lovers think superior.

Didn't say most cigar lovers in the States; as most have had little, to no exposure to them...

Currently on a Ashton VSG kick.
Love the Cao America because they are different.
Agree on the Oliva V Melanio. Fantastic.

Oliva V's and Alec Bradley Tempus are my most often smoked,

The God of Fire is good but way overpriced.
They market it well like the Opus X.

Excellent topic! I've been smoking Alec Bradley's lately and have grown really fond of them. My local humidor has been selling these toro 4-packs for $20 with a lineage, a prensado, a mundial, and a raices cubana. I enjoy all four of them, but the mundial is probably my favorite at the moment.
