We apparently have alot in common. My wife is expecting her NAVLE scores back this week, to be a board certified Vet. Vet school/Law school/Med school is a bitch when you have a baby.

She can't go into specifics, but it's interesting. I work for a local government as well but my job is far more boring and easy to wind down from at the end of the day.

Good luck you your wife. Mine doesn't actually take the Bar until late next month but it seems like she's been studying for a year. She already has a job as soon as she has passed but it's stressful. It's a good thing that she doesn't have anything against porn because she doesn't have time for sex lately.

Do the cot, make it where he cannot have his favorite blanket or stuffed animal if he sleeps in your room on the cot. But be firm, that if he comes downstairs and sleeps in your room, the only option is the cot. That will cut down on the behavior.

Worrying about meeting your deductible for medical insurance before I get a full work up physical. Why do I need the physical? So that my life insurance payment will drop by $50 a month.
ETA: I'm 32 and have an 8 month old. I'm currently shopping lawyers so that I can get a living will. I'm a long damn ways away from chasing undesirables around the bar.

We are planning on having kids as soon as my wife gets her MBA so I will be picking your brain if you don't mind.

What you are going to figure out is that kids are all totally different, with different personalities, from birth. Different things work with different kids. There's no magic method to do anything. People rag on daycare, but I can tell you that's where I've found some of the most solid advice on little things like this. Those ladies have years of experience with hundreds of small children, they've seen it all, and they can give you really good tips for different toddler problems. Obviously, ignore any medical advice they give. But other tips and tricks for things, specifically regarding your own unique individual child.
Oh and while you are only 32, buy life insurance now while it is still cheap. Don't do what I did.

Sitting on the phone while a wire operator goes back over the whole wiring instructions with the phonetic alphabet, letter by letter, for quality assurance purposes. I could have robbed a Papa Johns and dropped off the cash on the other side of Atlanta in less time.
And the transaction still isn't complete because I don't know the zip code associated with the receiver's Wells Fargo Account.

Account number, check.
Bank info, check.
Receiver name, check.
Zip code. frick me.
And neither does the damn law firm because they have multiple locations and don't know which one is associate with their escrow account.
