i'd like to serve on one just once.

the one time i did get a summons and went, it was a serial rapist who had held girls up at gunpoint and raped them in laundromats. i was on girl 3 of 6. didn't get that one and was ok with that.

Got summoned last month. It's the only time that being a convicted felon comes in handy.

I never carry cash anymore. Its just a pain and I absolutely hate loose change. I let it build up in my ashtray and when its full I put in a mason jar in the house. I havent even filled it up and I started it when I started at UA in 2009.

At selection just stand up, take your shirt off and scream out "ALL OFFENDERS SHOULD BE PUT TO DEATH IMMEDIATELY"

You'll get out of it with the quickness

I'd be hell on a Jury since I've experienced a hell of a lot of things, been in the shite, been on the receiving and giving end of all types of criminal activity so I wouldn't be able to bring myself to convict anyone...human nature lends itself to the craziest reactions when someone is faced head to head with what they perceive as a compromising situation.

I enjoyed jury duty when I was summonsed. I got cut on the third day, but it was interesting to see how the process works. I read two books those three days, because there is a lot of sitting around and waiting.

The line "cops never/always lie on the stand" will usually get you dismissed with the quickness.

Back before I was an auto disqualified individual I was picked a few times. So I developed a few responses that get you dismissed. My favotite was "you wanna give him 50 years for half a gram of coke what did he do sell you baby laxative and give you the runs" the prosecutor was not ammused.

Yeah that'd work too. I got summonsed once a yr ago and 2 of the lawyers and the prosecutor knew me (for obvious reasons) and state prosecutor gave me my check and in the nicest way told me to "get out and don't come back" I tried to tell them my life had gotten relatively calm, lost a few connects to prison and pine boxes, my uncle passed away (he knew him pretty good as well) after his 12 yr stint in Holman, and my main employer has moved to Orange Beach (although he's starting to come back around)

I went and parked at Coleman Coliseum this morning. It's incredible how full that parking lot is at 8am the first day of school, but a month into the semester at 8am it will be almost completely empty

Yep I'm lucky

Still got 4 guys in there, Brent (my uncle) was the worst to see though because he went in for a 4 and got 8 added on (murdered a couple inmates trying to rape him 2nd night in) and came out a couple yrs ago and was diagnosed with liver cancer and because his body was so broken down from grade of food etc only lasted 3 months and passed away after he had surgery, he was 37, hit my Dad the hardest (his only brother)

Yeah I bet. I have cut ties with most of the people from the old days but there are still some I would like to see. I ran into a few like me that have changed their lives in the rooms of AA so I get the updates
