“I wasn’t trying to pass off the bill,” she said. “That’s ridiculous.” A police report says Pike tried to pay for the items with the fake bill and even asked for change.

Wow. Grinding hard.

What was the date of that article, 2004?

I'm not surprised that you are finding that now. The Internet wasn't in Missisippi back then. You've got to catch up on everything that you've been missing.

Just a heads up. Don't throw out your cowbell when you read that Guns and Roses broke up.

Even more classic, it's simply someone living in the state. I guess I could post something about a college head coach in the state of Mississippi getting fired for calling hookers from his university issued phone and make about as relevant as a point... at least it's more current.

A man in New York dug down 10 ft and found a network of ancient cables and wires. He concludes 100 years ago New York had a sophisticated system of communication.

Not to be outdone, a California man dug down 15 ft and found the same so he concluded California had a complex system of communication 150 years ago.

Not to be outdone, a Mississippi man dug down 30 ft and found nothing. He concluded Mississippi had already gone wireless 300 years ago
