GA people...Is Stone Mt. State Park a suggested place to visit

I keep telling my wife no but she is persistent.
I don't think it's as nice as it used to be based on some feed back from another bulldog buddy of mine.
What say you?

Was there last year and it was the same as it was 10 years ago. Pretty cool to see. Laser light show is cool too.

I'm a former resident of Gwinnett County. We visited the park quite often. It was a very safe and fun place to go. Hope it still is.

I live in Dekalb County. We go a couple times a year. It's safe from what I can tell

Currently living in Stone Mountain (from here too) and the park is awesome. Safe to go to. You can carry if want to, but it's not needed in the slightest.

Lived in statesboro, enjoyed Stone Mountain but wouldn't go out of my way if time was an issue.

I have a season parking pass. Hiking up to the mountain is not too difficult. or you can pay $12 per person to get a tram ride to the top.
I really like stone mountain but it's nothing spectacular. I just came back from the LA trip so everything in Atlanta seems meh I guess. The park has a relaxed vibe and it feels very safe.

It's nice and the hike is fine. The lazer show on the mountain is pretty cool too
