10 months is a long rehab bit. I'm gonna go with him having done time. Doesn't look like a dude with priors so whatever he did might have been shitty enough to still have to do time.
If it was a sexual crime he wouldn't be posting his return, unless he doesn't care what any of us think. Judging by the rate he's having his photos taken down, this isn't the case.
I'm going to put the probability with driving while drunk and seriously injuring (probably killing) a person. That will get you squared away in prison and out on good behavior around this time frame.

They've deleted everything he posted. He posted an apology on the Auburn board. Then on his thread on the rant, a picture of him (excuse the expression) was dug up.

It depends on the addiction, what your insurance will cover, etc. It's also possible it wasn't anything like that and he just checked out from here because he was dealing with personal stuff. Who knows.
As far as people talking about it, it's probably because of his IRL picture being posted and him asking for it to not be posted (at least he did in the threat on tRant last night). SECRant/Tigerdroppings has been pretty consistent from policing that between things that happened on the OTB to people using certain posters pics at their avatar and what not.
