despite attacks. Meanwhile, cowardice American GOP governors shut door (completely ignoring the fact that the federal government controls immigration).

Sounds like the French are horrendous decision makers...

Sometimes you have to abandon ideology in favor of common sense.

And, yes, this is one of those times.

I'm wondering if he went to college at all, since he thinks that "cowardice" is an adjective/adverb.

That makes no sense whatsoever, so I'm not surprised that they are doing it.

There is a reason why affluent Moslem nations like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Emirates don't want these people. They have ample resources, along with predominately the same language and religion. It's the logical place.

Well if France does it, that automatically makes it a good decision.

The same reason they don't want the Palestinians.

Unless you are willing to sponsor these Syrian refugees in your home (the structure itself), then you should not be in favor of shipping these people across the globe.

France: rolling over and taking it since 1940.

To great media fanfare, Hollande will launch some air strikes, blast some missiles, and send a few special forces troops over to Syria to deal with this. When a few of those special forces troops get killed, he'll withdraw them and keep sending bombs and missiles here and there. Then within the next 12 months you won't hear much about France doing anything. That's all that will come of this. Unless some other country(ies) step(s) up to bat, the ISIS threat will only get worse and in 10 years or less, a more devastating attack will occur in France or another Western country. Hand wringing and blame will commence, and larger scale wars will come to bear.

France has no choice to keep accepting immigrants by the boatload. Shrinking birth rates and a socio-economic policy that is dependent on population growth have left them in a bind.

And no, Kuwait and and Saudi Arabia do not want them. They would be outnumbered before long and they are already challenged by laborers and immigrants who would seek to topple the Saudi social structure in favor of themselves.

Ask the Jordanians what happens when you take in large numbers of these refugees.

A Palestinian acquaintance of mine several years ago told me that, as far as the rich Gulf states and Saudi Arabia was concerned, the Palestinians are the n***ers of the Middle East.

Or just look at what happened to Lebanon when Syria force-housed Palestinians there.

The Palestinians are disliked by the Arabs for good reason. They have NO respect for the governments of the countries in which they reside. Wherever they go in large numbers, they attempt to operate against the Israelis even when told by the government to cut it out. This brings additional pain. If you stand in their way, they may just try to kill you.

The Palestinians love to run this woe is me routine but would you want a bunch of guys launching terrorist attacks into Canada who refuse to stop when ordered by the government?

Sunni and Shia Muslims are not the same. Worlds apart in fact. I believe IS is primarily Sunni while most of the wealthy Arab states are Shia. I big clusterf... in my opinion.
