Does anybody have any that they like?

I'm reading right now "The Legends Club", a book about Tobacco Road when Dean Smith, Coach K and Jimmy V were coaching all at the same time.

If you like soccer, "Why Soccer Matters" by Pele is a great read.

Currently, I'm about half way through "The Making of the Modern QB" by Bruce Feldman and so far it's been a great read

Some from my all-time list.

"A Season on the Brink," a story of one season with Bob Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers

"The Last Shot," my favorite nonfiction sports book of all time. An eighth-grader named Stephon Marbury plays a pivotal role.
"The Last Shot: 20 Years Later" — Grantland

"Ball Four" by Jim Bouton - probably the best baseball book ever written

I love sports non-fiction, but for some reason, I have never cared much about football books. My favorite football book of all time is a novel: "Semi-Tough."

It also has one of the best opening paragraphs in the history of American fiction.

"I guess by now there can't be too many people anywhere who haven't heard about Billy Clyde Puckett, the humminest sumbitch that ever carried a football. Maybe you could find some Communist chinks someplace who don't know about me, but surely everybody in America does if they happen to keep up with pro football, which is what I think everybody in America does. That, and jack around with somebody else's wife or husband."

Even better is "Among the Thugs" about the English soccer hooligans in the mid 80's.

I just read this 2 weeks ago.

"Soccernomics" was pretty interesting.

So was "Bloody Confused" and "Love and Blood".

Disclaimer: When I saw the title I thought we were talking about gambling.

I enjoyed Invincible.
