Vegeta Saga = Awesome
Frieza Saga = Perfection
Cell Saga = Eh
Buu Saga = bullshite

Cell saga was my favorite. Future trunks was a bad arse, and Dragonball Z was supposed to culminate with Gohan being the strongest. Every arc showed Gohan's potential and how it was the greatest of them all, and then in Cell it finally was realized. Then in the Buu Saga, Gohan turned in to a dweeb, Vegeta's character regressed for no reason, and the villain was lame.
But damn, all that was like 15 years ago.

If you enjoy Dragon Ball Z, you'll fricking love Dragon Ball Z Abridged. I like it better than the original.

anybody gotten into Super yet? I've been waiting for it to get dubbed. Normally I don't mind subtitles but I just can't do it with DB stuff when a woman is doing the voice for Goku

Cell himself was a pretty awesome villain, what disturbed me in that saga were the other Androids. The idea that this human guy on earth could create a trio of Androids more powerful than the alien who ruled most of the galaxy was complete BS. Cell was a cool idea, but how we got there was complete BS.
Gohan's problem is that he wasn't ever pushed to fight past his childhood. It is obvious in the show that their power only increased by fighting (and losing), and he never liked fighting that much.

Meh. I never really had that much of an issue with that. That's just how it goes. The enemies get stronger.

Yeah but he trained with his dad and unlocked Super Saiyan 2. The "joy" of fighting isn't any more important than fighting to protect your loved ones as log as each unlocks your potential. Which I always thought was what was important about Gohan. Vegeta and Goku(to a lesser degree) were the bloodlust Saiyans, but Gohan had different reasons for fighting.
But either way, it's just one guy making up a story as he goes along. Sometimes fans read too deeply in to things, and themes and elements change for a multitude of reasons. Although I wasn't happy where DBZ ended up, at least it didn't end like Lost.

Every month or two I'll read the summaries on Reddit. Not that in to subtitles, I feel it's too distracting. Not sure how I like Super as I'm just reading stuff, but it seems light hearted and goofy. Not necessarily saying that's a bad thing. I know that's how the original Dragonball was, but when Dragonball was coming on Toonami I was getting a bit older and never really got it in other that bits and pieces, so it isn't as endearing to me as the cool gravitational shite from DBZ... but it just doesn't it seem as good to me from what clips and stuff I've seen.
