Dog sacrifices itself, saves family from 4 Cobras

According to the Deccan Chronicle, the cobras attempted to enter the home of Dibakar Raita in the village of Sebekapur in Gajapati, India. Fortunately for Raita and his family of eight, their Doberman pinscher was there to defend the home.
“I’m shocked," Raita told the Deccan Chronicle. "He has made the supreme sacrifice for me and my family. I will remember him till our death. I pray [to] God, may his soul rest in peace.”
However, the dog's deed did not go unnoticed. According to the report, hundreds of people from nearby villages rushed to the scene with floral wreaths, which were laid over the dog's body in order to pay their respects.
The dog reportedly fought off the snakes "for hours," but ultimately died from multiple snake bites a short while later.

My Doxy saved me from a rat snake that was crawling out of my swimming pool the other night. He went downright medieval on that thing.

My cousins are innocent. They never did nothin. They were minding their own business and this family came up on them and sic'd their dog on em.

My dog is half Doberman. Such an incredibly intelligent, loyal, and protective breed.
We're currently in the midst of spending a few grand on advanced training that will end with protection training. Even when he was a few weeks old he was a natural guard and I know he'd do the same thing. Breaks my heart, I couldn't ask for a better dog
