I've known a few American Muslims. They were pretty normal people. Work with one now who is a really cool dude.

Trained with a few Saudis and Kuwatis in the past, also super cool dudes.

You should have taken the opportunity to post a bunch of anti Egyptian stuff. They are looked down on quite a lot by the gulf Arabs. Ask him what it's like to be African, they hate that.

Hell, I served with a guy, then worked with him at Booz Allen, who was assigned a contract in Egypt, ended-up divorcing his wife back here, converting to Islam and marrying a Muslim gal and now they have two children.

She is thirty years his junior. They live in a palace at in Alexandria. Beautiful place - my wife and I visited a few years ago.

So yeah, not only do I know quite a few Muslims, I even know the rare convert.

I think I do ... or my wife does I think. Can't remember his name. Converted to Christianity. I'll have to ask her if I am remembering that right when she wakes-up in the morning. Married a sweetheart of a gal ... a ginger, but a pretty ginger with a sweet disposition. He's a programmer for a bank. About thirty years younger than me but we got hammered one night at a company party drinking grappa and smoking Blueberry Moon. My driver said I was sharing all the Arabic curse words I knew that night ... and what's his name was laughing his arse off. I cannot remember his name - but I'm pretty sure he was a convert to Christianity.
