It seems to me that the only ones that use it these days are older folks (Who have just now discovered it on the information superhighway).

I use it for one group. Has my core group of friends and instead of 20 of us group texting we just post there for the plan of the night.

I hardly ever use it, and when I do, it's only for a big occasion.

Yes. I find the only people who really shite on Facebook are the ones who haven't figured out you can unfollow Aunt Sally and block game requests.

I have my FB app set up to feed info about science and sports. I absolutely hate it as a social media tool. I don't share the nuances of my life and I sure as hell don't want to know what other people, especially relatives, are doing with theirs.

i was a super early adopter of it, but haven't put anything on there in a few years. i might copy a tweet or instagram post of my kids to there for my parents sake but that's about it.
i deleted it once and then my wife told me i had to get back on because friends were trying to get ahold of me through her.

No. I just noticed that the updates that I get don't move for days sometimes. It's pretty obvious that it's on its way out.

yeah. i don't hate on it or anything, i just don't have the use for it.
people that post "look what this idiot said on facebook never resonates with me because i block all posts of stupid people (mainly conservative christians) and have a 0 alert policy. The only thing that shows up in my news feed or phone alerts are a comment on my wall or a message to me.

Mine's pretty active on an hourly basis. Most of the people on my feed are family, friends, and coworkers that generally range from mid-20s to early 40s.

do you have less than 10 friends?
I check mine a few times a day, and each time my news feed has at least 30 new updates/posts from people.

Of course.
I love people who rush to be the first to be "over" something

It's the same ones that shite all over Myspace and talked about how great and how much better this new thing (Facebook) is.

Facebook stock is solid and has much better leadership than say twitter who is basically firing their CEO rumored July 1st.
Stock has risen upward from $65 all the way at $81.55 per share today in less than a year. I don't use it or, own it but, My 80 year old Mom does and my niece who just graduated HS (and has a full academic ride at Mercer laid out) chat incessantly on the medium.
It's the bull in the ring of social media but, it doesn't fit my investment plank and quite frankly it's annoying as hell A, because it's making money and B, I said it was a cult fad ten years ago.

Facebook has been a valuable networking tool for me.
It's all in how you utilize it.

We use Facebook, Snapchat, Facetime and What's App to keep up with my daughter and her husband living in Bristol, GB.
The apps have been great for staying in touch.
