So I've always been a fairly fit guy, but after being out of college for almost three years and working I have put on a little weight. Just joined a gym and trying to get back in shape and lose about 15-25 lbs.

I've been going after work this week, but decided there's no way I can keep that up with being tired when I get home so I went this morning for the first time.

I'm going for a meal replacement shake for Breakfast and Lunch and cooking leaner dinners.

Mainly cardio and low weight/high rep workouts for me, along with core work everyday.

Your energy will come up in a week or two after you stay at it. Then you can go any time of the day.

Yeah I just gotta power through until it becomes part of my routine.

I'm 6'1 about 220 right now, which isn't really overweight, but for someone that has been athletic and in excellent shape for 95% of my life this just isn't cutting it right now.

Do any of y'all have a Nike Fuel Band, or fitbit, or anything of the like?

Good features, bad features, recommendations?

It's a 25 minute condensed workout of Insanity.

I lost about 70 lbs a few years back and insanity was about 45 of it.

I think I'm going to get the Fuel band.

Also, when you were doing Insanity, how much of it was just diet and any normal exercise as opposed to that particular method?

Speaking of losing weight, you posted a picture of you and your wife in that thread recently didn't you? Man, you definitely didn't look like you ever needed to drop 75 lbs. You did a fricking fantastic job

Just got back from the gym. Standard upper body/core workout.

Wifey and I are trying these pre-packaged "paleofit" meals for the next couple of weeks. So far.. not too bad, actually.

Can't speak for insanity, but I know with T-25 that I didn't start getting real results until I started eating leaner.

The strength came, but the weight loss didn't come until the diet change.

Yeah that's why I'm trying the meal replacement shakes. I'm only cooking for one, so it's hard to do all the time.

It's good for the joints too. Nice change of pace from running. My treadmill is killing my knees, I'm ready for the weather to stop shitting on us.

Make a list of all these items you're wanting, (fitbit, other equipment, clothing) and if you're still trucking right along by next fall hit Cyber Monday. There's more deals on fitness gear on that day than you could imagine.

I'll have to check that out.

This rowing thing y'all are talking about... Is it a machine?
