Could you handle being publicly roasted by your friends?

Watching the roast last night got me thinking. Could I handle that? I would say that when I was young, there is no way I could have handled it. Probably would have pissed me off so bad that I would have hated everyone after.

Now that I am older, i have accepted my faults and deal with them better. I still think it would be a hard thing to do but I am better equipped to handle it now than when I was young.

Most of you are younger, what do you think? Could you handle it?

Depends, is it on national TV? If so then hell no.

If it was just all my closest friends in a room then sure. And with these roasts like biebers, you know most of the people truly dislike the guy, despite them being forced to say some nice things. If it was all people that are really my good friends it'd be easier. Our group rips on each other a lot anyway as it is.

I don't need my dirty laundry aired on tv. That's the real difference between the two. Everyone on stage last night has their laundry dry cleaned by the New York Times and TMZ.. I doubt it's that big of a deal to have other celebs with baggage of their own rip you in a surprisingly funny way that you hadn't yet heard.

Excellent point Rig.

I can handle only if they show all the photos and videos that go with the stories. I wouldn't want to hold anything back.

I think this pretty much explains it. It is a different situation when what is being aired has been beat to death by everyone and there really are no "unknowns". Charlie Sheen being a drunk, beating his wife, Bieber getting arrested, etc.

But think about your core of friends and what only a few people around know about you and having those things exposed to everyone in the world.

If it was just between a small group of friends, i would have zero problems with it. For the whole world to hear? Not so sure about that.
