That entire town is the wrong part of town. Got in plenty of trouble in Columbus back in the day going to strip clubs on victory drive. Auburn college boys and Army troops dont mix great.

I never got my arse beat, but I had a couple friends who did. And got a couple of mystery speeding tix, I know we didnt deserve just because.
We'd go there though because the Georgia drinking age was 18 and my freshman year at AU it was 19 in Alabama.

Like CatFan said, Army town gon Army town. Every largish base has one. Fayetteville, Klileen, Columbus, Junction City....the thing is that when people get kicked out they often, especially the ones that get kicked out for the bad stuff, stick around the area so you end up with these towns that are filled with burnouts, criminals, sheisters trying to scam Soldiers and all the Strip Clubs, liquor stores and pawn shops that cater to the less than admirable tendencies of younger enlisted Soldiers.

Definitely go...just only be in Columbus for the rafting, and then GTFO...back to Auburn
