Yahoo article from January.
link

London, Jan 30 (ANI): The Obama administration gave green signal to a chemical weapons attack plan in Syria that could be blamed on President Bashar al Assad's regime and in turn, spur international military action in the devastated country, leaked documents have shown.

A new report, that contains an email exchange between two senior officials at British-based contractor Britam Defence, showed a scheme 'approved by Washington'.

As per the scheme 'Qatar would fund rebel forces in Syria to use chemical weapons,' the Daily Mail reports.

Barack Obama made it clear to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad last month that the U.S. would not tolerate Syria using chemical weapons against its own people.

According to Infowars.com, the December 25 email was sent from Britam's Business Development Director David Goulding to company founder Philip Doughty.

The emails were released by a Malaysian hacker who also obtained senior executives resumes and copies of passports via an unprotected company server, according to Cyber War News.

According to the paper, the U.S. State Department has declined to comment on the matter. (ANI)

I dated a girl in college whose parents emigrated to USA from Syria. Probably best it didn't last b/c we had much different views on USA policy in the middle east.

Gray, I'm not going to say this has no merit. But, this report comes from India. You think they don't have an agenda over there?

It seems like something we'd do, especially after what we've done in South America and Cuba for similar reasons.

That being said, everyone that shits on the mere idea this may have been us is the reason shite like this is allowed to continue unabated.

Chemical weapons in Syria? Let's take action. Genocide in Darfur? frick it, keep the news guys out.

I think we could screw any regime in Syria we wanted to, without having to "frame" them by getting them to use chemical weapons.

Countries aren't like the five year old brother getting his three year old brother to knock the lamp on the floor, just to watch mom and dad punish the three year old.

We gassed children to death in Texas 20 yrs ago, with no consequences to those that did it. With the lies this administration has perpetrated and violation of Constitutional Rights on it's on citizens, it would not be hard to believe they're behind the attacks. They have trained 700 or so Syrian Rebels over the last yr or two in Jordan, and there are numerous reports from reputable news sources providing info that most of the Rebels, are not Syrians, but Islamic Jihadists from neighboring countries with Al Qeada ties and ties with other terrorist organizations.
