Well think about it this way. Let's say someone commits a murder. It sure would be more impressive for the police to find the murderer if he didn't leave any evidence than it would be if he did.
If you actually see God in the flesh and talk to him, of course you're going to believe in him. You can't not, you were there. It takes a different kind of devotion to believe in him when you don't have that first hand account.
It's like the difference in believing that Aliens exist because you've seen lots of weird videos of lights on you-tube vs they land on the white house lawn and hold a press conference.

Where do I sign up for the "less impressive" faith where I get to see Him? I'd be okay with that.
