It is. They have strong pulling abilities but cannot develop lower body power like humans

who needs squat power when they can pull off your arm

This is not about fighting. From an overall body strength perspective, strong humans can be all around stronger. A chimp's strength lies in pulling.

Or your face.

Notice that the recent chimp attacks were on an older man and a woman on another occasion. They are defenseless. But I stand by what I say

Oh, I agree that humans have better lower body strength but I seriously doubt any human would win in a one-on-one upper body contest with a chimp.

Humans are better pushers, so we can bench press more, press more above our head, really press more in any motion and direction. Also, we train different motions too. Like curling for example. Also our stature allows us (some of us at least) to be able to deadlift a shite load of weight (like Brian Shaw deadlifting 1188 with ease)
So overall, even in upper body, humans still have the advantage. We train our upper bodies in so many different ways. Strong humans are no slouch in grip, either.
Grip strength is a sport of its own within strongman. There are competitions like the Mighty Mitts. We have come up with so many ways to train our bodies it's ridiculous. Most people don't know that.

Not orangutans. "Right turn Clyde."

What about a retarded chimp?
Posted on 7/5/15 at 1:53 pm to stinkdawg
There is no connection between strength and retardation

This thread is easily one of the best I've seen on this site.

Is there a place where I can sign up to fight a chimp? I think I would have a 74% chance of winning.

How big are you Robert? A chimp would likely tear me apart at 6'1" and 155 llbs.

Not all about size, there are guys your size who are mixed martial artists (or even just boxers) who would knock a chimp into next week. Sure they're tough, but they still have brains. And a hard hit from a pro fighter to its head will hurt it

Can you hold their mouths closed with just two fingers?

How about a chimp v. a midget v. a woman during a Black Friday sale at Macy's?
Where is your god now?

A chimp would destroy Ronda Rousey, though...
