I just noticed that it passes directly over the Cascadia fault, Yellowstone, and the New Madrid fault.

We all gonna die.

So, no more Louisiana, eh? I feel sorry for all the Texas cities that will be inundated with illiterate fatties.

WTF? South Cack is almost gone! God would do the right thing. Only the upstate (read clemson) would disappear.

Mine too, actually. I live 15 minutes from Augusta, Ga just across the state line in SC. Hell yeah! Cola is still there...as long as clemson is gone it's all good!

ETA: About seismic activity...I hope not. Charleston is 100+ yrs overdue for another big one. Last one caused church bells all the way in Boston, Mass to ring. Yikes!

No it can't.....but you'll be about 20% lighter if you're directly under it, so if you've never quite been able to dunk a basketball...now's your chance!

Tigers fans are more triggered by UK futbaw than any eclipse passing over the big MO.

Look up "Earth Tides" which are the response of the planet to gravitational forces exerted on it by the son and moon. Think of them as the equivalence of oceans tides.

Earth tides are on a much smaller scale that fault movements and earthquakes. Maybe when we have several million years of data on earthquakes, more will be known about the timings of why and when.

Is this a Bert question?

Clearly if he drops trou and shoots the moon he would eclipse Saban's elf sized hiney but his weight would be more likely to cause seismic activity than flashing his backside.

And now for this classic!
