100% agree. This idea of "social" identities and intersectionality, whatever merits it might have been intended to create, does nothing but manifest victim mentality. This narrative of "white privilege" is the biggest boogie man in our culture, and the Left sees it as their biggest crusade at the moment. Fortunately, they completely sacrificed any economic message in favor of it, and they lost their stranglehold in this country.

This is what the left, and these Social Justice Warriors don't understand. They see disparate impact where they want to, and the sole cause is "systematic" racism. And even the word "systematic" is specifically chosen to be unquestioned and omni-present qualifier. They blame their crumbling neighborhoods on white flight 40 years ago and the amount of black men in jail due solely to the unjust war on drugs. Asians and Indians moved in to same shitty areas and a few generations later they are doing WAY better than white people. For all this mythical white privilege, it seems all these racist white people just handed it over to the lower income Indo-China neighborhoods a generation ago. The annual "white privilege" subscription must have got lost in the mail on the way to the Country Club and fell off the back of the truck near Koreatown. And, while the War on Drugs is ridiculous, and to whatever degree it perpetuates the Cycle of Poverty in poor black communities, we should actively be looking to correct, but non-violent crimes are only a small fraction of the overall incarcerated population. There are still an overwhelming number of legitimate problems with inner city violence that can't be attributed to possession of a small amount of marijuana.

And yes, I fear there is a new generation of black kids out there being actively taught to blame a mythical racist society for why they can't get ahead. I won't dismiss the scars of slavery, the effects of Jim Crow, and lingering racism and racial bias, but whatever "implicit biases" any young man or woman has against them, nothing will hold them back more than the belief that someone got ahead simply because they are white and that they won't get ahead simply because they are black. I know broke arse white trash that will amount to nothing the rest of their lives. No amount of sunburns or freckles will change that. That white trash suffers from a lack of decency and work ethic. America gives no implicit biases to anyone without those two things, and it never will, regardless of gender, race or religion.

Assimilation of American values is taking a back seat to political correctness and victimhood culture. These people have convinced themselves that empowering their victim status is the only way to get ahead. They only way to correct a power system that's rigged against them. I've never been more disillusioned than I have by seeing the current college aged student on YouTube and the internet this past year. When I was in college ten years ago, no one talked about race. Black, white, asian, indian, middle eastern, hispanic, whatever. None if it mattered. Your major, your interests and your values were what was important. Now? All of those things take a back seat. I see current Aggies talking about "subtle racism", and demanding more black teachers. They demand that you acknowledge someone's "learned experience", and acknowledge a mythical bias you carry with you. frick all of that.
