Going to Byran-College Station for business this week? What are the best restaurants in the area? Best bars? Any recommendations?

The Republic is good
Patranellas on Parker for awesome Sicilian food and killer baked goods
I don't do the bars anymore but I always liked the Fox and Hound and Carneys

I have been to two that have been suggested Republic and Christopher's and they were both good. Enjoyed the town and the size of the campus and new stadium. Construction everywhere

Bonfire Memorial is a must-see. Especially this close to the anniversary of the tragedy (Nov 18th).
Also recommend checking out the Memorial Student Center. I think the Quad where the Corps lives is still being renovated. The Corps of Cadets Center has some cool artifacts though.

Looking forward to it...budgeting some time for some hooky so I can check out the campus and local scene and that stadium ya'll brag about...never been there before so want to see what its all about.

Kyle Field dominates the campus skyline as you'd imagine some badass vistas on all 4 sides, tbh. They did a great job with the renovations.
Can't wait to check y'all's digs out next time I venture to Alabama. Been a hot minute

Does College Station have anything equivalent to The Strip in Ttown? Where all the college bars are located? Like to do some coed watching.

Northgate area right across University Dr on the NW corner of campus (well what used to be the NW corner)

I can think of a better place in Bryan than anything listed so far.

I'm guessing you can figure out my first thought...and how odd it was that you'd have a 'Bush' library in aTm territory. (J/K)

Carolina Girl derailing my thread.

Nah she's just stating the fact that she'd rather be at my house than any place else in B/CS

If you want a burger while you are coed watching, the Dixie Chicken has a good burger.

I derail threads a lot.
I don't mean to.
And Ag is right...his house or bust while in B/CS.
