Something that doesn't drool or shed. Can be quiet. Not real big. Not super high energy. Not loud enough that is get a noise complaint. I'd love to get a dog the next place I move into.

I mean, it's fairly common to have apartment dogs. I think there was something like 90 dogs at a highrise I used to go to. A majority of the dogs I saw there were mutts though so that can be hard to predict their behavior.

Right I get that but your criteria says you don't want a dog.
All animals shed.
Small dogs are medium to high energy and yappy af.
Medium to big dogs can be noisy galloping around a bit.
And most dogs will be fairly territorial and bark at people laughing/talking outside the door or ringing the doorbell.
Whatever dog you get you will most likely want to crate train them as sometimes dogs will develop anxiety about being alone.
You most likely want something like a beagle but I really don't know which of your criteria you are willing to compromise on.

Thanks for the reply and I appreciate it. I don't mean to sound rude but:
I've never had a dog that noticeably shed.
Not all dogs bark and while some of that is personal, I'm sure each dog type isn't. I mentioned a little bit more on this below.

No worries
Not so noticeable in a neutral colored apartment with beige everything.
Get dark furniture and a light colored dog or vice versa and you will see hair, some more than others yes. Not sure what part of the world you live in but if you keep your apt fairly cool like I did, then any animal will build thicker fur and tend to shed a bit because of it. Just personal observations I made from my time as an apt dweller.

What about labs. I live fairly close to a large park and a quick google gave the general opinion that if you can tire them out enough every day, they're good apartment dogs.
I guess another factor is the size of the apartment. I live in a fricking box right now and I'd imagine only smaller dogs would be ok. I really should move to a larger, much cheaper apartment not in the fricking Gold Coast lol.

If you've got a place nearby for exercise, a greyhound.

Big enough that it doesnt have to go to the bathroom a million times a day, but small enough that it has enough room.
35-50lbs
The Aussie's(Shep and Heeler)
Britanys
Mutt
Smaller Labs or Hybrid

Blue Heelers are very territorial. Used to own one. Best dog I ever owned, though.
OP should look into a Basenji. They can't bark.

I'm getting a Boston Terrier pretty soon. They're good dogs. My parents have one. They don't need tons of exercise since they're brachycephalic.
I wanted a Scottish Terrier, but the fiancée doesn't like them.

Have you ever looked at Irish Terriers? Incredible dogs.

I have a German Shorthaired Pointer.
The best apartment dog would be the exact opposite of a GSP.

Same goes for my dog. I have a Wolf Hybrid. She sheds her weight daily. I invested in a dyson just for her
I've always had labs growing up. Gentle giants. They have a soft bite and super easy to train. If you don't have experience in that Area find someone. Not at a fricking perstore like Petsmart.

Get a pug and make sure you get it a sweater and a hat that has a propeller on top if it.
Chicks will dig it

Have you had dogs before, maybe grew up with them? They are very social animals. They need companionship as much as we do.
They can get psychotic or neurotic if deprived of interaction with people or other dogs. Please commit to being around your pet a lot before getting a dog, considering your circumstances.
Would you consider a cat?
