Floor salesman is trying to sell me a floating floor pvc tile- saying installation will be a breeze... but if water gets down there, I will have to undo the snap together tiles to the the water underneath. Is there a better basement flooring than traditional tile? Tia

If you're that prone to flooding, you probably don't want anything down there other than concrete, honestly.

Paint or stain the floor.

Do you have a sump pump down there?

Just stain the concrete floor. It will save you a lot of time and money.

I own a small flooring buisness and I agree with the salesmen. You want something that will be easy to remove if you are prone to flooding. Undoing the click tiles is a hell of alot easier that removing tile that has been glued down. That shite will make a grown man cry.

Why would you need to remove tile if water flooded the tile? It's not going to tying the tile. There would be no need to remove it. Am I missing something here?
