Some boundaries need to be set and not crossed, that may be a perfect example of one.

I use "Howdy" as a greeting all the time

Hell, I say Howdy, because that's what my cowboy grandpas always said.
Western Ark redneck howdy is more like "Heidi".

I would get a tramp stamp that reads-- V,B. Would consider doing it in old English.

Yeah, I know the howdy thing doesn't belong only to A&M, but it's the official greeting. My uncles used to say it all the time, and I used it occasionally before college, but almost exclusively afterwards. Even while greeting higher-ups in the military

I do too, but it is not because of TAMU.

Yeah, it's my little homage to my alma mater without being too overt.
As you know, the greeting is ubiquitous in Aggieland.

Yes, and often that is the way mine sounds but on occasion it has more of the Minnie Pearl version, but several octaves lower, in keeping with duration and mountain twang. She was a nice lady and did some real good things for Nashville beyond the celebrity.

Minnie Pearl was a character. Those chicken legs were def. before the steriod era.

Do you remember the old song?
Minnie Pearl chicken,
tastes mighty fine
But their ain't nothin better,
than a watermelon rind!
Used to hear it on banjo when I was much younger, can't remember the whole song now.

I've gotten pedicures and had the lady paint one toe black and one toe red with Gs. I thought it was hilarious and a lot of insecure people had a big problem with it.

Are there pics of this?
(trying to appreciate the humor here)

Yeah, but I don't know how to post pictures from my phone and I probably wouldn't. The "hilarity" was more from how people reacted than anything else. I'm a very tall, very stern looking dude and the people who noticed would constantly have a look of extreme confusion on their face.
