Yeah, if you didn't have to go to Arkansas to do it
Good luck getting the necessary signatures to get it on the ballot and then getting the people to vote for it.
The article didn't say, is this legalizing medicinal or recreational marijuana?

Ballot amendment is still a ballot amendment. Since Florida polls close sooner, you will lose this race.

Now if you can motivate the 18-40 crowd to actually get out and fricking vote! It'll pass easily if you do.

We actually have two ballot initiatives. One for Medical the other for recreational. It almost passed in 2012. Think it lost by 50-48

Where are the big farming areas of Arkansas? Can good cannabis be grown there?

Assuming they have electricity, then yes. YouTube and Google would help them out too.

I lived in Arkansas for several years, and with all the great nature spots in the state, it's a great place for the outdoor-minded weed smoker. I used to take my dogs on hikes around Pinnacle Mtn., smoking bud as we explored the place. Nothing better than finding a spot overlooking the river valley and smoking a few bowls.
Talk about a peaceful, easy feeling ....

Good. I live about 30 minutes from the natural state

Here in Alaska, we passed the law 1 1/2 years ago and they are still working out the details on how it is to be sold, taxed, used, transported. Don't hold your breath on this being a quick process if the initiative actually makes it to the polls.
Politicians could frick up an organism if they thought they could regulate it.

We have a lot of teapartiers here. I'm sure they'll do all they can to stop it even if it's passed

Yep, the Bible Belt will be the last area of the country to capitulate, with Mississippi or Sweet Home Alabama not making it legal until 2166.

It nearly passed 4 years ago. I don't see how it couldn't this time.

If is recreational and the other medical, I could see the medical passing. I'd be pleasantly shocked if Arkansas voted for both.
It'll probably take a while to get it up and running, especially since you don't have the medical infrastructure to guide the recreational. But I guarantee hydroponics supply shops will spring up all over the place

The Meth Lobby in Arkansas will vigorously fight this.
