Celtics Wizards has been a barnburner. Helluva game winner from Wall

What I don't get is why people constantly feel the need to out down one playoffs to tout another? Both the NHL and NBA playoffs are some of the best theater in sports. Appreciate them both.

Poppovich is such a fricking hypocrite for calling out Pachulia for being dirty when he protected Bruce Bowen for years.

I lost respect for Aldridge as well because he was clearly trying to injure KD when he intentionally tried to step under Durant.... a hit that was probably ordered by Popovich himself.

You are kind of a hypocrite for calling out Pop for calling out Pachulia and then calling out Aldridge in the next sentence fyi.

ya I like both, but the NBA playoffs has not been very entertaining this year. A handful of interesting games over the past month is weak.

That logic doesn't even make sense.

Pop protects his players that resort to underhanded tactics( Bowen and Aldridge) but puts other players on blast for being dirty. Hypocrisy

How am I being hypocritical at all?

I blame that bitch who wears #35 for the warriors for watering down the NBA.

He he stayed with the Thunder we'd probably have a replay from last year. I knew it was gonna be a Cavs/warriors finals since the season started.

Why bother watching the game if it's gonna be the same 2 teams from the last 2 years.

And Lebron James( the biggest bitch in the NBA today) doesn't get any blame? You don't remember when he took his "talents to Miami" along with Bosh, Ray Allen and others?

At this rate, both coasts will boast superteams and the flyover arenas will hold the pushover teams when push comes to shove.

If anything, blame the rising spending cap in the NBA for why Durant landed with Golden State. The new cap is the reason why scrubs like Mike Conley have 150 million dollar contracts and it's also the reason why GS could afford Durant.

We can't ignore that he was joining D-Wade as well.

Bosh, LBJ, and Wade are the players that set up the superteam trend. Can't blame Durant for doing something that's already been done before.

Had Labron stayed in Miami you'd be exactly right.

A warriors /heat finals would've been unbearable

It was definitely different. Lebron had nothing close to Westbrook like Durant did, Lebron also had to still deal with the big 3 in boston (garnett, pierce and allen. Golden State has nothing close to that to still compete with from the West. I don't really think there is anything wrong with what Durant did btw.

If anything the main blame should be on the boston big 3 in the late 00's.

He went from one super team to another. Went from Bosh, Wade, Lebron to Lebron, Kyrie, Love...

If he had stayed in Miami the NBA wouldn't be so watered down right now.

So because the Cavs sucked, it was okay for Lebron to form a superteam on the South Beach, but since Durant's team didn't suck, he can be scolded? When Ray Allen left the C's for Miami, was he given this much hell for heading to the same team that beat him?

You say this while ignoring that the western conference is still the deepest conference. That Big 3 team of Boston was already well mature in age by the time Cavs could defeat Boston and would easily be beaten by today's Spurs. Once Allen went to the heat (which helped dismantle the Heat's only competition in the east, the C's) the Heat's superteam status was solidified.

Considering I said I don't really have an issue with Durant doing what he did, I don't see where I need to say anything is "ok". But it is different like I was pointing out.

No because while Ray Allen is a great player, he wasn't viewed in the same light as Durant or Lebron.

That is certainly up for debate and don't agree at all.

quote:

And then Allen went to the heat which dismantled the Cavs only competition in the east which strengthened the superteam.

I'm guessing you mean Heat, but that is irrelevant to what I stated because that was after Lebron moved to the Heat.

It's not different but ok.

I fixed my last post though; I rushed through it the first time.

Ray was an important piece of the big 3 and, at the time, the best shooter in NBA history. Like I said, his departure from the C's brought an absence of struggle to the Heat in the eastern conference as they had become a true superteam.

Sure, I don't disagree with any of that but like I said no one views Allen in the same light as Durant or Lebron. Whether that is right or wrong. The second part is irrelevant to the discussion though because it happened 2 years after Lebron joined.

He did receive some heat for it as well, especially his teammates at the time.
