Are the nightly IM threads a thing of the past?

It seems to be laying by the wayside on multiple forums. Why is this? Are we getting to a point where it even takes too much effort/interest in others to put together a thread in that style?

Personally, they changed the internet permissions at work, so i can't even access the SECr or the OTB or even any of the team boards while I'm in base. Can only post in the TD boards

Personally I stopped posting in them when the OTB opened. I can't really explain why. We used to have 40-50 pagers on the rant, those were good times

A lot of the old crew stopped posting in them. A bunch of alters didn't help things either

It probably doesn't help that the majority of the folks who post over here now, sans a little political spar or two, are pretty drama free. A lot of the people who were posting on them were just here to drag a bunch of IRL shite in.

i used to be pretty involved in them most nights of the week. soccer has ruined my social and internet life 4 days out of the week so i've been a little slow. i expect to come back with a vengeance in November.

We had a board replace the threat and there isn't enough traffic here to drive the type of clique that makes IM threads a thing.
Plus most of the old crew is gone or not posting much.
