Are people really upset about Starbucks cups?

At first I thought it was just some extremists looking for something to bitch about, but now even Trump is commenting on it. I never imagined it'd blow up into something this big.
Are there really Christians out there upset that Starbucks went from a cup decorated with snowflakes to just a solid red cup? And are they really claiming it's a War on Christmas when they still sell Joy cups, Advent Calendars, and a Christmas blend of coffee?
People all around have really lost their minds.

I'm convinced it's a troll campaign just to see how easy it is to rile people up

Some serious attention-whoring by a guy who wanted his video and idea to go viral.
The Christian thing (in my humble opinion) to do would be to make your own damned coffee at home at .25 per day and donate $20 per week to your church or charity of choice.

It worked. It's absolutely everywhere. And some people totally bought into it too.
That video is hilarious too. He tells people to go in and say they want Merry Christmas on their cups, effectively putting more money in Starbuck's pockets.

Christians are starting to get fed up with consumer Christmas. Companies are using "Christmas" to make a buck but aren't even celebrating what Christmas is. Just a Chrisitian movement to get back to The true meaning of Christmas.

Yes, very. I'm from Missouri.

So to combat consumer christmas, the natural reaction is to get pissed off when a company stops using "christmas" (as they see it) as a commercial tool?

Starbucks would be making money with or without its Christmas hoopla. And they give back quite a bit as well. They've also never been overtly Christian in celebrating Christmas but have also never shied away from printing Merry Christmas on products and such.
If them taking snowflakes off their red cups tears down the meaning of a true Christian Christmas then I think there's some bigger problems for Christmas then their marketing campaign.

I don't patronize Starbucks so I don't care what they do.

Only the most extremely aggrieved Chistians. Even my usualy War on Christianity friends on Facebook think it's ridiculous.

People are upset about being upset and that upsets them.

I"m telling ya, it's social media. Any idiot with social media skills can stir up shite and manipulate the masses.

Just like the blacks have black lives matter the Christians have the war on Christianity and Christmas. You need to pump emotion into politics in order to rile up your base and also bring them together behind an issue. Fox News looks for any small issue about this to constantly put on their news channel weekly. This keeps the perception alive and strong within the small minds who cant decipher propaganda.

No, its a corporation. They do what's in the best interest of their bottom line.
I don't agree with Starbucks political contributions, so I don't care what they put on their cups.

No one has said a word about the cups around me. My news feed on facebook is all people saying they don't care. I haven't seen one say they are actually boycotting. The genesis of this entire thing was a tongue in cheek article. Some people need an intuitive computer that spells out sarcasm for them.
