Right now I'm working as a Sales Assistant II at Kohl's. The pay isn't cutting it. I heard computer programs make around $1000,000 starting out.

My girlfriend's best friend, David makes websites. Last night, he said he made $8000 this month already. He told me that I need to learn HTML and PHP and SAAS(?) and SEO to build websites.

Im thinking about building a site where people can talk about SEC and post football fanart.

1,000,000 is a nice starting salary.

I'll probably set up a goFUNDme. According to my estimates, it will cost around $1 billion dollars to make this website.

I have to buy a building for the website.(300-500k)
A website computer(500k)
Pohotshop(1k)
Microsoft Dreamwaver(1k)
Billboards(5-10 million)
Superbowl commericial(1 million)

And the rest is for stocks and trades.

You forgot to factor in land for the website. The building has to go on land and the website workers need to graze now and again.

What the crap is going on in here?

I've programmed, it's not for me. Good luck, have fun.

That being said HTML=/=Programming. Two different languages. Slightly similar in some aspects but very different in execution.

For the record, the most important intelligence based skill for programming is being well grounded in general logic. Soooooo.....good luck.

Yes, I know this is some kind of weird troll thread.

OP doesn't seem legit, but HTML is all you need to make a website. It's very simple to learn. You will have to learn true programming though to earn income from it.

Your friend David is a moron. You need to learn PASCAL, FORTRAN, and maybe a little BASIC. Those are the hot languages nowadays. PHP.....LMAO!
