What can you tell me about how is does, or does not, affect your life?

I sometimes run redlights when the redlight is horizontal and not vertical.

Not colorblind, but saw this on reddit a while ago. Two brothers that are colorblind get glasses that allow them to see color. These are their reactions

I've seen the glasses thing. They don't cure obviously, but can help to see colors that you normally don't - there is some scientific evidence.

My granddad was red & green colorblind.

He was in the Army Air Force during WWII.

They would take color recon photos & he would interpret. Green cammo appeared brown, to him.

All those Enchroma videos are crazy. It seems that the people who are colorblind have no idea what they are actually missing.

I know a few colorblind people and when they tell me, "I sometimes mix up red and green" I'm like...wtf? Those colors are literal opposites and couldn't be more different.

If I was colorblind, I'd definitely want the Enchromas. Most of the videos show these people saying "is this purple? I've never seen purple before".

Crazy.

I don't see the different shades of colors very well. I can not see some shades of red and green. Not many, but enough to frustrate my wife.

My first reaction definitely wouldn't be rubbing up on my brother like that.

Yes, I have partial red green color blindness or difficeincy. It's not that uncommon in men.

It's not that I don't see the colors at all, like some who are completely color blind (which is rare) . I can't or have a hard time distinguishing then apart when they're together. Those color dot charts test . It's mostly that shades of those corset often look Brown, grey etc.

I'm not, but dad is. Have to help occasionally when he is wiring something, reds/greens/browns and the like are difficult for him to discern. Other than that, he gets out of having to pick colors for painting and the like.

He got a pair of those glasses to help him see colors last year, said they do have new colors he hasn't seen before. My stepmom bought him a huge box of crayons to help him start learning what colors are actually what, when he wears them. Red's, purples and various shades of them are new to him.
