It's an app owned by twitter where people have live video streaming from their smart phone camera for all the world to see.

Here is an article from Clay Travis going on about the potential of this app. LINK

If you do use it, I encourage you to follow our beloved Kige Ramsey. He's been using it multiple times a day and it's a very unique perspective into his daily life.

First "session", I don't know what to call them, was just him eating strawberries on extreme close-up. Last night was him watching the weather on the news, even though we all have weather updates at our fingertips, and proceeded to comment/berate the weatherman from the comfort of his livingroom recliner. Genius at work here folks. Give him a follow.

I'm not so sure about Travis' thinking that it will revolutionize media as we know it like the printing press or the internet, but it will have a decent impact and make it unusually easy to get content out there.

So this is basically twitchy without the video game playing?

Titillating. If I ever come to the point in my life where I am spending precious, irretrievable moments of my finite life watching a house-bound loser eat strawberries, play video games, or yell at his TV, I should probably just kill myself, because my soul will have already collapsed in on itself.

You spend precious, irretrievable moments of your life here. Has that not already happened?

Yes. Love it. My friends and I try to out terrible each other with our mundane streams. This morning I had the phone pointed at me while I drove to work with Kenny G playing.

FWIW, the Fallout 4 twitch stream just had 3.8 mill viewers just to get a first glimpse at the trailer. A trailer premiere for a game yet TBD to release had more viewers than most tv shows..So yeah, there's that.

Covino and Rich have been pimping this app for a while but I haven't seen the allure.

Kim Kardashian is a celebrity with millions of fans. Her reality shows are a twitch stream. All you're saying is there are millions of people who are just wasting all our oxygen.

I'm not here because I'm interested in your opinions and life. I'm here to inform everyone when they are wrong, and bestow my superior intelligence upon everyone.

Do any of those people that were waiting for Kim Kardashian today in Nashville even have a life.

I was just on South Beach and was amazed at all the zombies walking around, riding bikes, running, blading...all while staring at their device.

That generation is so fricked. I am starting to hope a EMP devise does go off so people will actually have to actually talk to others face to face.

My son told me he walks into classes all the time and everyone is staring at their screens. Wake up you knuckleheads! Get a real life!!!

I downloaded it to watch the Mayweather fight. Afterward, I tuned into some drunk girls driving home to LA from Las Vegas. One of them flashes her bewbs. So, my intro to periscope was not too bad.

Not too shabby.

As far as people bitching about this next generation's addiction to their cellphones.. If anything we kind of started it, but it's these lazy arse parents who don't want to fool with their kids that have allowed this to happen. I knew this was coming when 10-15 years ago every adolescent boy/girl had a handhelp gaming device stuck in their face everywhere they went.

This year at a State game, there was a kid with an ipad playing a game..at a freakin football game for cryin out loud. If that can't hold your attention then I don't know what would. This generation is lost to technology, and what's worse is all the studies saying that this technology is making us dumber as time goes on.

I went a week without a smart phone recently and it was actually pretty nice.

Our lives are just staring at a screen all day.
