Going there for a week. Want ideas on Bars, restaurants, or any other interesting shop or spectacle to do or see that doesn't involve skiing.

Duggan's for a quick sandwich, modis, crepes al a cart on main st., Rita's. Rita's is a really good local taco joint and margaritas.

Make reservations early if any places take them. Can be hard to get in some places.

A few bars at Main and south park avenue intersection.

Take a drive south to Buena Vista...it is beautiful country. ..stay off of I 70 as much as possible ....I just came back from there last week. I would move tomorrow if it wasn't for the wife

Go to vail to find all the southern transplants

- I think it's pretty close but I'm probably wrong about that

Vail is like 45 minutes to an hour west on I70, maybe closer. I haven't been up that way in a few years.

He should make the drive down to Fairplay, in South Park. Mostly because of the South Park thing. I can't remember if there's a pass he has to cross to get there though, and it may or not be closed due to snow.

Some beautiful scenery a little to the SW of Breckenridge too. Leadville and Buena Vista and the scenery in between.
