Since we had a license plate thread on Alabama yesterday. Here is a license plate thread on every other state in the SEC and which major school dominates(it can be outside of the SEC but must be P5). Some states I wasn't able to find due to the multiple major schools in the state(Texas Florida).

Alabama:
Alabama 61%
Auburn 39%

Mississippi:
Mississippi State 54%
Ole Miss 46%

Louisiana:
LSU 100%

Arkansas:
Arkansas 100%

Missouri:
Missouri 100%

Kentucky:
Not sure exactly how much Kentucky dominates Louisville (OT but Louisville the city sucks).

Tennessee:
??? I assume UTK dominates

Florida:
???

Texas:
???

South Carolina:
???

Georgia:
Georgia has to be #1. I barely ever see any Tech fans in Atlanta. Almost as rare as seeing a Vanderbilt fan in Nashville.

Would love the exact stats for the other SEC States. The only States I have no clue who leads is South Carolina, Florida, and Texas. Thanks for whoever is the expert of your state.

It's not a surprise that the flagship university of each state has the most license plates. Not a new thing.

Our DMV site doesn't even mention Clemson as an option (though, unfortunately, they are available...our DMV just chose not to mention them. Smart people)

Collegiate Plates

quote:

Collegiate plates are another type of specialty license plate available from the SC DMV. A portion of collegiate plate fees benefit scholarships or other programs at the college.

quote:

License plates are available for South Carolina universities as well as out-of-state schools. For example, you can get license plates for:

*Benedict College

*Florida State University

*The University of South Carolina

at the SCDMV not even mentioning those tards from tater land.

fwiw dept., I went to Alabama court house yesterday to renew my truck tag. Hanging on the wall were samples of some of the vanity plates available in AL., 49. If you like square dancing, you got it. If you want to promote spaying and neutering pets, covered. And then there are plates for literally every college in the state.

Actually, Ole Miss is the flagship university in Mississippi (1848).

I'd like to see the results of MSU v OM tags in Tennessee, Texas and Georgia.

Anecdotally, I can definitely say that I see more A&M license plates in my neck of the woods than texas.
