All this Mizzou stuff was started by people who were offended.

Keep that in mind. No laws were broken. No one was injured or kept from attending classes. No one was harmed in any way. No court would hear their case.
They had their feelings hurt.
All they need is a backbone and a hug. Instead, you get ridiculous demands from a grad student that struggles to form proper sentences.

Let's not forget this is primarily an urban liberal problem. Rural areas seem to get along a lot better, although they may still be a bit lazy. As soon as the free money stops from the government (which logically has to end since we can't ever pay it back) there will of course be a rebellion from the government hordes, but once it's put down we can rebuild the country in some form again. As long as we have guns all problems caused by the government are only temporary.

And how do you prove a hurt feeling? You can't. You just have to take their word for it. That's precisely why you never cave into these things one cannot prove.
Offer to send them to counseling to learn some coping skills their parents evidently failed to instill, but don't give them an easy out (white, black, yellow - it doesn't fricking matter).

I know. How is any university administration going to eliminate insults?
I'm sure they can take action against students who offend, hopefully documented by the offended, but there's absolutely nothing they can do about "townies" throwing pejoratives at students.

But where does taking action against those that "offended" someone end?
Offended is a fricking state of mind for the individual that feels slighted. It's a personality flaw, a psychological disorder so to speak. Anyone can claim offense for anything, there are no boundaries or limits.

Several European countries have laws against "abusive speech". People literally get thrown into jail for speech.

it started w/ "holocaust denial" and has snow balled, well if there was any snow, the global/warming/climate change deniers now have laws against telling them how full of shite they are too.

That would be only fair, but we both know that is never going to happen.
If people would put as much time and effort into working, raising a family, and being polite to others as they do into being a SJW or protester, the world would be a better place. But that will never happen.
