Depends what the school asks. My graduating class had 850 kids so they asked for no clapping till the end or it would have taken forever. My cousin had 130ish and everyone cheered and blew air horns for each one.

Drove the Pete to a high school graduation (outdoor) and when my god daughter's name was called I let go with the triple bell train horns, at her college graduation I clapped

I never experienced air horns at graduation, but have seen lots of people yell and scream despite being asked not to.

They get so excited over a high school graduation. Graduating high school is not some huge accomplishment. It's what your supposed to do
