This is scary and it's only gonna get worse unless we hold these corporations accountable for polluting

This might be in the article but I don't feel like reading.

How do you die from air pollution? Where did they get those numbers?

You don't get to hold people in other countries accountable. Until it matters to them, you're just shite out of luck.

Also, in the US, that's about 17% of the number of people that die from heart disease. Let's hold the fatties accountable first, and then work our way down the list. We can go after them all in order.

So Chinese and Indian governments let lots of Chinese and Indian people die due to lack of regulation over Chinese and Indian corporations.

Alright.

Having just come back from both China and India I can tell you its goddam awful. Like the worst foggy day you've ever experienced except it ain't fog. Was in Asia 2 weeks and one of my colleagues got bronchitis while there. Really is disgusting. Can't imagine the problems kids and old people must have breathing

Another liberal media trick. Air pollution makes you big and strong, and the economy bigger and stronger. It's so obvious. bastards

And the climate isn't changing either. It's just getting warmer naturally.

Soon we'll be vacationing in Greenland and fishing in Lake Vostok. It's just natural.

I'd rather not see people die because of the greed of a few.

Greed is part of human nature. That and conflict are in our DNA.

We're more like chimpanzees than bonobos, regrettably.

Wonder if your scary stat takes into account all the people who cook over open fires in their homes? When you take out those numbers your greedy corporations don't look so greedy anymore. Stupid liberals.

Read the first sentence of your own article. Really, it's not that hard to learn to think for yourself.

You don't understand much about combustion and pollution do you? Incomplete combustion, whether from an industrial source or the home, releases soot and heavy organics. Neither industrial or home pollution is good for you. We just accept pollution from home sources and demonize industrial sources.

I can assure you, American companies work very hard to minimize industrial pollution. China and India, not so much.

I am just going to quote the first sentence of your linked article so the rest of the thread knows how fallacious your argument is. I call your attention to the word 'household'.

quote:

More than 5.5 million people die annually due to both outdoor and household air pollution, making it one of the leading global risk factors for disease, according to new research.

Explain to me how 80,000 Americans die every year from air pollution. Our country isn't known for cooking over an open fire in the house.

Explain to me how many Americans heat their homes with wood, coal, or oil stoves.

Dumbass.
