Here's a new one. Subcontinent Indians. Do they smell bad to you? This question arose from the crying baby thead.
All of the ones I've ever spent time around smelled bad. Is it their food? Yes? No? Racist?

Many do not use deodorant.
Culture thing I guess. Doesn't buy me unless he's sitting next to me on a 10 hour flight, same issue with some Europeans. It'll gag you.

Yes.
They're also the worst customers to deal with in any kind of service industry. Worst tippers, if they tip at all. Complete assholes to any sort of help. That is engrained in their culture as a result of the caste system in India. If you're there to help them then they are going to treat you like they're better than you.

The caste system wasn't even that stratified prior to the British occupation. Wasn't unheard of for upward mobility though still not common.
The British occupation made it more concrete.

Took me a second to realize this was about the dot, not the feather.
I have detected no smell when working with them.

Im the one who mentioned smelly indians on a plane. I dont think it has a damn thing to do with race, only whether they wash frequently and use modern deodorants. Neither of which happens that often in India.
Most Indians when they come to the US or Europe though do bathe and use western hygiene. But back in India, frick no.
I've been there several times. I speak from experience.
