quote:

A group of Texas hunters found a different kind of game when they discovered a nightmarish scene of nearly 30 slithering rattlesnakes hiding beneath a deer blind.

"Picked my deer blind up to rebuild it and killed 26 rattlesnakes and one that we weren't sure what it was this morning at the lease," Rusty Hopper said in Facebook post that is making even the toughest Texans squirm as it has been shared more than 35,000 times.

Man's fear of serpents is so ingrained that it takes center stage in the Bible's story of how we were created.

They're beautiful animals. And they deserve a spot in the ecosystem. But, man, they make my flesh crawl.

Good 'ol Matador, my father's hometown. I'm not exactly scared of snakes in general, but I can't stand being around a venomous one.

My fear of serpents was probably from watching the predator movies with the giant anacondas when I was like nine. I will freak out like a bitch if I see a snake and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Spiders do nothing to me though. Interestingly enough, my great grandfather died from a snake bite so I guess I have good reason to be scared of them.

Never caught snakes, but I don't have a hatred of them. Live and let live unless they're venomous and in my yard (health of kids & pets > life of snake).

Now spiders? Kill them all. Every single one.

After having a run in with a water moccasin in Swamp Lejeune back in the 90's I have lived with the mantra of "the only good snake is a dead snake".

Which actually makes them more dangerous, so what's your fricking point?

I think people confuse being scared of snakes and not wanting to have them around.

If I see a snake, I'm not really scared of it because I know I can deal with it fairly easily. The problem is I don't like the thought of having them around (venomous ones) because there's a chance it will see me and I won't see it.

I would have rather read that these two tumble turds had been bitten.
