During the boxing match, 39 year old Ronald McNeil who is a neighbor came over but was asked to leave after a verbal argument turned physical. Witnesses told police that around 3am Sunday morning, McNeil came back to the party with a gun and started shooting.

Very sad.

I lived near there when the guy at the Exxon corner store across from Consol got killed by two dudes who I'm pretty sure lived in that neighborhood. Most of CS is really safe but I would not live over there if I were a student. I'm sure there was an argument about noise (and probably wasn't the first) and this animal snapped instead of just calling the cops like a normal human

Yeah I have a friend who lives about 2 blocks away from where this happened and he says the cops are always over there in that area. It's as bad as west Bryan.

Apparently they were watching the Mayweather fight in the garage. The neighbor came over and tried to watch and they told him to leave. He came back again and started a fist fight and was thrown out. Then came back a 3rd time with a gun and started shooting.

I had friends who lived over there on Navarro in the late 90's. One night the domestic situation upstairs concerned them enough to call the police out. A couple nights later they came home to find their front door kicked in.

Gotta love those College Station rentals, where your neighbor might be a grad student or might be a felon living on his old lady's Section 8.
