ESPN Link with Herm Edwards Video

"I'd see a quarterback and be like, 'Dude is garbage, and I'm over here in the kitchen cooking turkey necks!?'"

quote:

"I hate to name-drop, but [Ryan] Fitzpatrick is still playing!? He leads the league in interceptions, and he's still f------ getting paid? I mean, what the f--- is going on?"

quote:

Young also told Sports Illustrated that his former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher took all the fun out of football.

"I'm going to expose his arse," Young said.

Young described an incident in which he was left behind on a road trip to Philadelphia after he left his ID at home and went to retrieve it.

"I feel like Fisher did that s--- on purpose," Young said, adding that Fisher had held the plane for other players in the past. "I'm pulling in, seeing them pull the door down. I can hear the team yelling."

Young later told Fisher, "Where I'm from, that's like saying F you."

Even though he sounds really salty, Ryan Fitzpatrick was a good name-drop to make his point. How the frick does a guy that throws 6 interceptions in a game and constantly never wins anything keep getting chances? Not that Vince would be better than him, but someone else probably is.

Vince Young and Uncle Rico have the same throwing motion. Young was a beast in college though.

These are probably not an indication of the entire interview. But that's how these things go when you say somewhat controversial things.

he is smart enough to learn the playbook and wear the headset. Vince got a lot of help from the coaches at Texas in order to learn his "book"

I think similar to Kaepernick, Vince was just kind of figured out by the rest of the league.

I agree with his points about Fitzpatrick and Fisher though. Those guys suck.

I'm pretty sure Fisher was telling him frick you. If leaving his ID at home was a one time thing, I bet Fisher would have held the plane up. I'm guessing Young did a lot of that crap during his time in the NFL. That story didn't really "expose his arse" for Fisher. It made me think less of Young, if that is possible.

Fitzpatrick may be a turnover machine, but he still has more career TDs than INTs. Can't say the same about Vince Young.

Also not being a basket case can prolong ones career, something else you can't say the same about Vince Young.

Ol baw should have stayed off the Madden cover.

Probably why the same teams year after year go deep in the playoffs bc they have good management.

As far as I'm concerned, Vince can say whatever the frick he wants for life.

I also wonder the same thing when Jamarcus never got another shot. Hell Ryan leaf got a change of scenery. I'm not convinced he would have made anything of it but when you look around the league and see what's there it's asinine that no one took a chance

That's rich considering Vince has more career interceptions than touchdowns in the NFL.

Also Fitz was a 7th rounder while Vince raked in millions as the third overall pick.

Maybe he should be working on his passing skills instead of cooking turkey necks.

Just a thought.

Ryan Fitzpatrick throws hilariously funny 50/50 balls that noone else in the league will do. Dude is a gunslinger.

My guess is because Vince Young probably wants far more than what he's worth and Ryan Fitzpatrick is probably just happy to still be on a roster somewhere. Bucs are only paying him like $3 million for one year in order for him to backup Winston.
