After today. Mine has dropped from a 8.5 to a 6. I think he has to make a bowl game to keep his job for another yr. but I think he is done after the 3rd yr. Sterk has shown he isn't playing games.

I don't know if I'm ready to rank it because he has to be given a full opportunity but it's sinking daily right now. I don't think he has to win a bowl game. I think he just has to show improvement.

It doesn't matter what my level of confidence in him is, if he can't lock down this local class and win games he'll be in the wind soon enough.

Sorry I meant make a bowl game. I know he needs more time but after watching him whiff on guys he had recruited after they committed here and then miss out on brown today to Nebraska. That's a horrible sign.

Reserving judgement until after this year. I think next year determines his future at Mizzou.

Agree.... He looked clueless a large part of last year..... Let's see if there is any improvement this year...... If not, we can talk about all the instate talent, that will play elsewhere.

Hard to tell, he landed in the dreaded "follow a great coach who had gone to seed in his last year or two spot". Expectations are high but the talent level is down a bit.

That is not the most comfy situation to be in honestly.

We will have a better idea about BO after this year I think. He had time to get his systems in place and he survived that first murderous year in the SEC. How he does now will tell you a lot about how he will do going forward.

Out of 10?

3

It was a 5 at the end of the season.

He doesn't know how to do the other stuff that makes a successful college coach.

I'm in the same boat. Brown would be a cool pickup, but wasnt a "must get". What wibo showed my im year one was actually better than I expected, and im very glad hes our coach

Foster was a very good get for BO a few weeks back. He took a kid out of bama and is looking at others to come with. He is a much more important get than brown.
However, if BO can't get 6 wins or more and loses out on 8 or 9 of the missouri 10, i will be lighting my torch and grabbing a pitchfork.

No one will care about recruiting if he wins.

If he doesn't, it's just one of many things people will point to.

I'm fairly certain we can go find a WR just as good or better than Brown elsewhere.

If we get 4-5 wins next season, will Sterk keep him?

Damn, I hope we don't have another Kimbo here.

JQ I do not mean to speak for others, but it is more than just another 3* we lost as we also fumbled away 3* Armstrong last cycle. It is the accumulation of data points that one can reasonably model a very real downward trend. I will forego a multitude of descriptive analogies which would be easy and let others if so inclined draw themselves.

We didn't fumble away anything. We had a blueblood come in and take him.

Anyone holding their breath for Mizzou to be an elite FB recruiting school is going to be blue in the face. Scream we don't recruit good enough, then refuse to show up for games. LOL

Do I think BO is a great or even good recruiter. No, not really. He's not very charismatic. He's more steak than sizzle.

However, his bread will be buttered by identification and development just like any coach here. That won't please the instant gratification crowd, but you're just going to have to wait. The fruits of that labor do not bear immediately.

One of his biggest battles is his own fanbase, and that's a damn shame but just something he'll have to overcome. Or he won't, and then we try again with a new coach that everyone can cry about because he doesn't recruit good enough.
