I actually liked the speech. I'm surprised it's being received so poorly.

Well, I guess I'm not surprised with the way the fanbase views him. Really anything he says, no one wants to hear, but I actually liked that he was showing some fight. I just wish he could get his players to show some on the field (during the play)

The only fight he's showing is for his job. And it's the only "time" he's starting taking any responsibility which was half-assed honestly.

He can make all the fancy speeches he wants but it's still the same piss poor, poorly coached product that began last season.

The ones making the arguments about no talent, it's the fans, it's the prior coach blah blah blah........ Are the same ones who propped up KA with the same line of BS

KA failed

BO is failing

In the end it's about leadership and results.

Return 10 of 11 starters on Offense, get worse.

Can Odom just explain that in a press conference?

7 games

Sterk has to get out front of the Head coaching revolving chairs, before the seats are all full and ur stuck with Barry #2.

Next season, arky, Notre Dame, even LSU possibly, etc will all be looking for coaches

And that is why you have to do it after this season, before everyone else gets into the picture.

I didn’t have a problem with the tone of the speech. I just had two problems. One: don’t invoke dead people. Two: this isn’t a complete turnaround. He can pretend that it is. But it’s not. You can’t say that Pinkel was the best coach in program history and then turn around and say he left you a complete turnaround.

Returning 10 starters on offense is not a turn around, it's a failure.

The offense really wasn't that good, and Lock just hasn't progressed at all. I don't think Crockett has been 100% since the first half of the SC game.

We are underperforming but the team just isn't that good frankly, and we have zero leadership from the players.

If they don't make a bowl his arse should be gone. I am honestly worried that they split Idaho and UConn and go
2-10.

Starting with the Kentucky game the offense needs to be centered on Crockett and Rountree. Then get a few designated touches to Mason, Floyd, and Johnson.

It’s got to be on Elerbee and his position group to control the LOS.

It's just a song.

If it was “just a song,” the protest is meaningless. The protesters don’t believe it’s just a song or just a flag. They understand symbolism and its importance.

So you can support 1-11 as a coach but kneeling is the line? Damn my friend. We watch football for two completely different reasons. All good though. To each their own.

The protest is meaningless, because it's just a song. It has no magical properties, it bestows no extra American-points on individuals. It has exactly the amount of impact on your life as you let it.

My issue with both sides is the amount of attention that such a meaningless act garners and then receives back from the indignation.

These are players who have chosen to kneel instead of doing actual works. They have done the bare minimum with their stature, influence, and ability to interact with the community. The symbolism (the flag protests) should be the cherry on the top of the substance, not the other way around.

Some of what you say is correct. Some of what you say is nonsense.

It's mostly just drunk blubbering, with a spritz of nonsense.

Yes! All of this. As long as errbody keeps praying to the flag and mindlessly supporting the war of the week I AM GOOD
